AN EMPHASIS ON TRUTH
The Truths Concerning Our Existence

It seems that in the twentieth and twenty-first century the majority of people actually believe that living matter was created from dead matter without the Omnipotent Creator. There are, and have always been, differences in the views of Consecrated Christians that believe the world was created by a Divine Being and others who believe that the total universe came into existence by chance. There are vast numbers of people who do not, and will not, accept the God of the Universe or Jesus as Christ. There are many who will not accept anything in the Word of God as truth, but if man will only believe the Scriptures that God has revealed he will have, not only eternal life, but a more abundant life here in this present world. But the more man appreciates the complexity of the pattern of the natural order, the more he marvels at the intelligence behind it, and so a man begins to formulate a mature conception that God is a being who excels in wisdom and power. Simple logic shows that there was a Being Supreme who created all things and that it was impossible for living matter to have been created from dead matter without the Omnipotent Creator.

By observing his own bodily structure, the Psalmist wrote in Psalms 139:6, “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.”Psalms 139:14-16, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” The Prophet Job wrote in Job 5:8-9,“I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:”The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 11:33, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!”

The belief in the theory of evolution or such philosophies such as Materialism, Existentialism, or other philosophies, with the stress on man, machine, and the material world, virtually seem to preclude belief in the Omnipotent, Omnipresent God and an unquestionable Divine Law. But the revealed Word of God provides the simple truth of how the universe and all things came into existence. Those that rule out a Supreme God and teach that the world came into existence by chance should know more about the God of the Universe. There are some who say: “God is dead.” They reason within themselves: “Because God is invisible to us, He doesn't exist.” But Jesus said after He had risen from the dead in Revelation 1:18, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” God does exist! Because He is invisible does not prove that He doesn't exist. God is a Spirit.

There were many witnesses of Christ's resurrection. The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:3-7:“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:  And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:  After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.  After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.” Also the Apostle John said in 1 John 1:1-3, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled . . . That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you . . .”

The Holy Prophets and Apostles Declare the Omnipotent Creator

Psalms 19:1-4, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.”

Psalms 33:6, “By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.”

Psalms 139:12, “Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.”

Psalms 136:4-9, “To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever: The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever: The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

Psalms 90:2, “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.”

Psalms 90:4, “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.”

Psalms 8:1, “O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.”

Psalms 8:3-4, “When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him?”

Job 26:13, “By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens. . .”

Job 26:7, “He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.”

Jeremiah 10:12, “He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.”

Isaiah 40:17-18, “All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?”

Isaiah 40:22, “It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.”

Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead.”

Colossians 1:12-19, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.” Acts 17:28, “For [it is] in him [that] we live, and move, and have our being in the world.”

God Himself Has Declared His Marvelous Creation and His Power

Job 38:4-7, “Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

Job 38:12-13, “Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?”

Job 38:16-20, “Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all. Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof, That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?”

Job 38:36, “Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?”

Isaiah 40:25, ‘To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal?’ saith the Holy One.”

Isaiah 46:5, “To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?”

Isaiah 40:12, “Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?”

Isaiah 45:12, “I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.”

The Covanent God Made With Mankind Concerning His Creation

As sure as the earth and the world were created they will be destroyed, not by atom bombs as some believe, but by God Himself. Neither the Son nor the angels in heaven know the day nor the hour in which the universe and all things in it will be destroyed; but God has reserved that event in time for only Himself to know. He did tell us in His Word that the world would not be destroyed by water as in the days of Noah:

Genesis 9:8-17, “And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,‘And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.’

“And God said,‘This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.’

“And God said unto Noah,‘This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.’

2 Peter 3:3-7, “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,  And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.  For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:  Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”

Revelation 10:1-7, “And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:  And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,  And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.  And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, ‘Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.’

“And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,  And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:  But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.”
